How To Cope With Children During Covid-19 #STAYHOME

I can imagine the thoughts of many mums at this point, " FOOD STORE IS RUNNING OUT, Courtesy of Covid-19 lockdown". I know I am not alone here,if you are in this ship, Welcome. Oya gather let us discuss.

The Children and teenagers are watching us keenly, so this is not the time to start blaming government and politicians for the spread of Covid-19, neither is it the time to be sharing fake forwarded news that will spread fear and anxiety.

 You cannot also be watching Netflix 24/7 and expect your child to be reading? They are a product of what they see. Experts say it takes 21 - 33days to form a good habit. So we can utilize this lockdown and instill positive habits on our children. Try the following and add more to the comment below;

1. Take the children to the kitchen store and allow them make a food allocation that will spread for four weeks (Incase the lockdown extends). Enlighten them on healthy /appropriate feeding. Excess food is not a sign of good health.(you better abide by this as well o) Involve them in home planning depending on their age.

2. Let them see you read so that when you tell them to read, it will make sense. Have a timetable of activities you will want them to engage in. It can be done daily. Covid-19 Schedule.

3. Engage them in activities that will help them discover their abilities. Study them keenly when they are busy, it will help you bond better with them.
 Encourage them to write daily, to do lists so that they learn how to be organized. Let them write Gratitude Statements and Life Goals. Suggest to them only when absolutely necessary.

Don't forget to go on your knees and thank your maker for the gift of life.

My name is Azubine Chiamaka and I want to see the young ones awaken to their path.
