The beauty of our race
A short poem on the girl child in celebration of the International Day for the Girl Child
The beauty of our race
You are a girl
The beauty of our race
The hope in our face
At your birth many were amazed
The eyes that behold you sees beauty
The mind that think you think endowment
The strength of our race lies in you
You are the African Girl child
Not for your colour but for your value
Not for who birth you
But for your purpose on earth
Not for your frame but your bold nature
Driving away the Lion and Hyenas of our race
Your hands are great
In them lies amazing ideas, great industries
And captains of industries
You are a Girl, strong and courageous
You are a Girl, the pillar of many generations…
You are, all life needs to be alive
So build the, you in you
Hold forth your purpose
Stand on the heels of greatness
Till you reign and trend on and on
