When He Builds



At times with passion we build
And with bricks of pride, desperation and excitements
Each day with plans
Yet the builder buildeth
but in vain

In vain
blocks after blocks grow tall
In vain
We launch new strategies...
What if He was involved

O yes he was, after the foundation
And if the foundation be destroyed...
Yet a skyscraper on a sandy foundation
As some roof, they call to Him
Others call him at the house opening



Oh no! how we build generations
In vain
But any day we call Him
He ends the in-vain
And then we gain...

Children often feel bad when they approach us, as parents for something they want to buy and we tell them there is no money or we can't buy it now. To some of them: " Daddy don't just want to buy it " or " mummy is just being difficult ".  It forms a bad pattern when children get used to the culture of " there is no money", "No you can not have it", "We can not buy it now", "Stop wasting my money", "Monies are not plucked on trees", "do you think I steal money" and much more. Many children make a request because they know and believe it is Daddy and mummy's responsibility to provide everything and whenever this fails to happen, they feel less loved.   Apenuwa Temitope Daniel is a remarkable individual whose intelligence and determination make him stand out. He is not just ambitious but also a relentless goal-getter. I recall him once expressing his academic standard, saying he must not see a "C" in his results again. For him, even a "B" signifies failure because an "A" is his true grade. Our friendship deepened as we discovered both similarities and differences in our personalities and preferences. We shared the distinction of earning "A"s in Directing Practical Exams, not just once but repeatedly, confirming our shared dedication to excellence. However, our creative inclinations differed—Apenuwa leaned toward modern, foreign plays, while I had a deep affinity for local and traditional themes.
