My Review On How To Make People Feel Important:

1. Use their name.

People do not appreciate, you not knowing their names, talk more of calling them the wrong names. There is no harm in asking for the person's name. It helps to sustain conversation and relationship.

2. Express sincere gratitude.

Catherine the great says "Praise loudly and blame softly". Sincere expression of gratitude is an essential feedback.

3. Do more listening than talking.

Listening is a skill that should be built by everyone. It makes people feel welcomed. Stephen R. Covey says, "Most people do not listen with the intent to understand; they listen with the intent to reply."

4. Talk more about them than about you.

People want to be sure you know about them. Talking about others, will make them feel important. The more proud you are of people's success, the more successful you will be.

5. Be authentically interested.

Many people are only interested in people, so that they can update their record. But when your interest is genuine, you will care about them.

6. Be sincere in your praise.

Sincerity in your praises of people will make them better persons.

7. Show you care.”

Showing care should be a part of friendship, unfortunately it is lost. To make people feel important your care must show in words, expression and deeds. It takes time for people to build trust and if there is no care, they will gradually withdraw.
