TWO PRETTY THIEVIES
History will
always repeat itself, but in more dynamic ways than one. Just as the moon
embraced the clouds and as the frogs were setting the pace and rhythm of the nights,
I walked slowly down the road. It was not a narrow street but its broad nature
had not encountered either the local or state Government’s intervention, hence
the different stones that littered these sand filled road would not allow for
any other movement but a cat walk. It was barely my usual gait,
courtesy my long hours of sitting in the car due to the traffic which I had just
escaped.
Now it was
quarter past 10 at night and only business night crawlers would beat the dark
with sexy and glittering looks that set the night mood for dangerous romance.
Yet it was not their route, my street has not being celebrated in recent times for
such, so I wondered whose voices penetrated the night at such a time. As I moved
closer to the images, I became more interested and curious rather than being scared,
my slow pace encouraged my capture and quick analysis of a drama that was never
my business: yet it was now my business, as I was more of an audience. At first, it seem more like a radio drama, so I only imagined the next line of action but as I drew near the scene, my tired face brightened up.
Lo and
behold! The images that seem hidden and weird in the dark from a distance, now began
to form into shapes, then my beautiful and dexterous mind willfully engaged
itself in joining the figment of the sounds and voices to the different movements
and then I had a good storyline. To my surprise, it was a fight. Yes a
fight of two pretty thieves.
Apparently,
an undisclosed reporter had informed the first thief, on the need to set up her "man" but she was not sure, so the reporter had given her a detailed information
of the time and place where her man had always come with yet another jobless
thief to have a good time. Unfortunately tonight had the sun shining in the
dark and the seemingly owner caught the thief. Now the beauty of the drama was
that the man who was cheating on these two ladies was right in their middle
while they hauled insults and causes at each other.
Each one would stretch her hand to hit the other and the man would wedge it for either of them. I was
already drained from the traffic but this fight tickled me till I laughed.
Lady A: I will deal
with you tonight, you this thief.
Lady B: Who is a thief,
if not you?
Lady A: You think I am
not aware of how he often bring you here… Hmnmmmnm I will kill you tonight.
Lady B: You cannot do
anything. Do you know who I am?
The man/ Player: Leave
her alone nah. I mean you (Lady A) you too (Lady B) leave her cloth…
By this time
the petite looking “lady B” was almost topless while the plus size “lady A” was
ready to take “lady B” on a 6 feet adventure.
Oh my world! I thought to myself, what a world. The man in question was unapologetic to either
of them and yet each one was furious enough to fight for his love. I only wish
ladies would learn how to walk away rather than get stained with issues like
this. My advice would be, stop being desperate to find out if He is cheating on you, else once you
do, it will hurt you and affect your progress. Secondly, if eventually you find
out, please do not react in your anger. Walk away from the scene and react when
you are in the right frame of mind. As for the men who are players, please consider the emotional pain and trauma involved in your games. Put yourself in their shoes.
