Firepemi

"Fifi, Fifi, ...Fi" as she is fondly called. Geoffrey,

 a tall slim and dark course mate and admirer of Firepemi

 had checked her in the class after the just concluded test and

noticed she was not in class. He wondered what must 

have kept her from class, talk more of the test. 

As the intelligent class rep. Geoffrey had gotten

 to class early to prepare the class.

He seemed too overwhelmed with his preparation 

for the test that he did not notice Firepemi's absence.

He searched the library, her favorite spot and 

every other place in school for her before he 

proceeded to her lodge. She seem to be nowhere close by,

 yet he won't give up.  

He called out her name again and could not hear any response. 

He then drifted to her room wondering if she was sleeping. 

"But what kind of sleep would that be?" He thought to himself. 

Only Mr Donatus, their famous course mate who sleeps 

while standing in a crowded lecture room, would 

have slept off and miss the almighty Dr. Patmos's Test. 

Mr Donatus had become famous among the lecturers as well. 

They referred to him as the only student who

"sleeps the sleep of death". Geoffrey wondered, if Fifi had fallen ill,

then he remembered she is never known for health challenges

or for playing truancy in school. 

She would get to class 30 minutes to the start of the lecture

 and leaves just as the class ended, hence the reason she had no friend.

He stopped as he walked down to her apartment, 

which was not far from the campus. 

Now he had to ensure he was still looking good. 

Firepemi is one girl any guy would find irresistible,

only that her love for the library has cut her off the social groups and social activities.

On getting to her room, the door was ajar and the door knob was on the floor,

Firepemi's bags were open with some of her clothes on the floor.

The bedspread was torn and no one to explain...

...
