MARRIAGE IS A GIFT.

When I was still in paid employment,I had a very nice boss, he was so nice that everyone loved him and we always wanted to be in his best books. We once wanted to buy him a gift, we did not know what he liked, so we called a 'strategic' meeting to deliberate. Anyone looking in would think it was a serious affair but that was how special he was to us.

We finally settled on a bottle of his favourite perfume. It was not too expensive but immediately I smelt it I knew he would love it. It was exquisite! It was that kind of perfume that lingered long after you had left a place.

We wanted it to be really special so we asked the shop to wrap it specially and we got a courier service to deliver it to him at a meeting he was attending.

We were so excited about our plans it was as if we were the ones getting the perfume as a gift. We imagined how he would react, what he would say and do. It was the talk of the office...
