MOSUNMOLA 2

MOSUNMOLA 2

The Mechanic advised him to leave the car, since it was past 7 o'clock in the evening already. He was so sad but concluded to come very early the next day to fix the car. On that particular day, he removed two things from his car before leaving, he removed; a gallon of fuel which he said he needed to fill into the generator set in his house and then he also removed a big loaf of bread. I was only feeling bad about the challenge with his car, especially because he had always lamented about the displeasure of boarding public transport. The next morning, the first call that unlocked my phone was Oluoba's call. I knew he must be outside my compound already. Just like I thoued foght, he was just by my door waiting to get a hug before joining the mechanic.

As I opened the door, he teased me as usual, then we hugged and exchanged pleasantries, as we both walked towards the young Mechanic. While we watched the Mechanic fixing the car, we were chatting and locking eyes. At a point I went into my apartment to get some fruits for both men they were appreciative of my kind gesture. Soon the car was fixed and we all left together for our different appointments. Oluoba munched on the fruits as he dropped me off at my destination.

The following month Oluoba proposed to me and his exact words were: "I have looked around and can not find a lady that is good enough for me. Mosunmola I will like to spend the rest of my life with you". Those words sounded different from the normal proposal format. The whole proposal day, time and place was nothing like what I see on the social media or had anticipated for. Yet I was so glad at this point that I did not know what to say. I just kept smiling, then he said, "please say something now". My response was affirmative. We were in his car and he kissed me for the first time and it seemed like a new world had just began. It was a deep and beautiful kiss. Just like we summarized the kisses we had missed through out, our one year of locking eyes and burning with passions.

Now all the thoughts that he might be a player, flew away. Mosun weds Oluoba ...and they lived happily ever after, was all that replaced those times when it seemed we were no longer dating or those moments when he seem not caring or romantic at all. Memories kept flooding my mind, I totally overlooked those times when he would only call and we did not see each other in months. All I could only see was the introduction day, the engagement day and finally the white Wedding. Then I thought, I had waited for too long for this day, so there will be no loud wedding. Infact we need to start church counselling, I started surfing the internet for wedding plans and ideas. All my thoughts was caught short, when I heard him call my name, "Mosun'', he then asked, what was on my mind. I had to tell him I was thinking about the fact that it took him so long to propose to me. He then became very apologetic and said it was due to the fact that, he was planing to relocate to the United States, and he did not want to commit himself to anyone just like that.

So I asked if he was still travelling and he said, may be after our wedding. We would go together, he said. I was relived and felt happy that finally my surname is changing. I had always avoid drowning myself in tears due to the delay in finding the right man. We later got into different discussions , played and before we knew it, the dusk was already setting yet we had been on just one spot. It was indeed a beautiful day. He drove off, hit the road and dropped me off at a friend's event, after which he left.
